Here we are back in Managua at the Best Western. Our ride showed up around 10:00, apparently we missed church! Hope you all prayed for us!
Roberto Carlos drove us to Grenada so I could have my birthday lunch by the water. It was a beautiful marina; a great way to celebrate. Really missing my family though. Mark, you would have loved the setting - blue sky, boats, water, and fish to eat. Rudy and Roberto had some kind of fish that was pretty much whole - including eyes and TEETH! I tasted it though and it was actually pretty good.
We came back though Masaya (pronounced ¨Messiah"!) and saw a couple of places there. Roberto just left to return to Chinendega; we are on our own for dinner. I left Roberto some money to have an Easter celebration with the kids in LaJolla. They have, literally, nothing and what a great day for them to have a party!
We leave bright and early in the morning. Should return to St. Louis around 3:00. Everybody have a happy Monday!!!

Sunday Morning
Well, here Rudy and I sit waiting - our ride was supposed to be here at 8:30 and it´s 9:45. This is more like Africa than I ever imagined! we had a nice dinner last night at El convento - an old convent from the 1600´s. We took a taxi home; always an adventure. We are supposedto be going to churchç; hope wehaven´t missed it!
By the way, Rudy made me try grilled octopus lastnight at dinner. WAY out of my comfort zone, let me just say. I had tortellini made with cream cheese and spinach; only I wouldhave Italian food in Nicaragua, eh?ç
My mind is spinning with all of the need I have seen. It´s such a reminder of the suffering that is EVERYWHERE! God´s blessings on your day - and ours!
